Itinerary

Day 1: Avebury, Lacock, Bath & Cirencester

The tour starts in the village of Avebury with the possibility to explore the wonders of the largest stone circle in the world. Travelling onwards we will find the monumental Cherhill White Horse carved out of the chalky hillside by a ‘Mad Doctor’ in the 18th century. Our next stop is the medieval village of Lacock and a chance to explore the historic buildings and charming narrow streets. A popular location for both film and TV productions, Lacock has played host to the cast from Downton Abbey, Wolf Hall and many more.

The afternoon takes us to the Georgian city of Bath and an opportunity to visit the 11th century Abbey with its Norman architecture or perhaps discover the history of the remarkably well preserved Roman Baths. Later we travel to the medieval market town of Cirencester, where we will spend the evening. (Overnight Cirencester, B)

 

Day 2: Bibury, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bampton & Oxford

Today we will be exploring the Cotswolds, starting in the medieval village of Bibury on the banks of the River Coln.  Take a gentle stroll through this quintessentially rural English setting. Onwards and upwards we go to the top of the hill and the market town of Stow-on-the-Wold to discover its charming array of antique shops and traditional tea rooms.

A quick visit to Bampton follows, with a chance to see where Downton Abbey was filmed in this very English location. Afterwards we journey to the university city of Oxford. A city renowned as a historic seat of learning for over 800 years. Take some time to explore the stunning university colleges. Perhaps take a peek at the Great Hall of Christ Church College, a must for film buffs.  Finally our journey takes us back to London. (B)

The following terms and conditions form the basis of your contract with Al Majid Travel & Tourism LLC.  Please read them carefully as they contain important information.  By asking us to confirm your booking, we assume that you have read these terms and conditions and agree to them. 
 
As an Agent, Al Majid Travel & Tourism LLC arranges travel experiences and transportation with a large number of suppliers in the United Arab Emirates and around the world. These suppliers provide the following list of services.
 
·         Scheduled, Low Cost and Charter Airlines
 
·         Hotels, Villas, Apartments and Guesthouses
 
·         Package Holidays
 
·         Self-drive and chauffeur-driven car hire
 
·         Airport, Port and Resort Transfers
 
·         Luxury and Standard Rail Transportation
 
·         Ocean, Fjord and River Cruises plus Shore Excursions
 
·         Individual and Group Tours
 
·         Sightseeing and Attractions (including Theme and Water Parks)
 
·         Live Shows
 
·         Travel Insurance
 
·         UAE and International Visas
 
Each of these suppliers will have their own individual terms and conditions that will be explained to you prior to the booking being made. Copies are also available upon request.
 
BOOKINGS
 
A booking will only be made if the lead name in the booking is aged 18 years or older. The lead name assumes full responsibility for ensuring that all members of the travelling party accept the supplier’s terms and conditions. This person is also responsible for ensuring that all requested information is 100% correct. Failure to do so may result in the booking being rejected by any of the suppliers with no refund on any applicable cancellation charges. The information generally required includes the residency for each individual member of the party as well as the correct spelling of names, title, sex and age as per their passports.
 
PASSPORT, VISA & HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
 
It is the responsibility of the lead name to provide current copies of all passports for the party and to notify us if any member of the party has a passport (or UAE residence visa if applicable) due to expire with  6 months of the arrival back in the UAE post-travel. You must check visa and health requirements prior to confirming your travel arrangements, including transit visas if your flight in not direct. If a booking is made and confirmed at any time prior to visas being granted, this is done at your own risk. Neither we nor our suppliers accept any responsibility for either denied boarding or denied entry to a country for any reason, not limited to non-compliance of passport, visa and health requirements.
 
We recommend that you contact your Doctor or Medical Centre for the latest inoculations and malaria medication. We strongly advise pregnant woman and young families to avoid countries where malaria is present.
 
A booking can only be made once the deposit or full payment has been received. All bookings made within 12 weeks of departure will be subject to full payment. All services are subject to availability at the time of booking, which may differ from the time of quotation. Prices are also subject to change and cannot be guaranteed until payment has been received and the booking confirmed. For air travel, this means tickets issued. For hotel bookings, this means accommodation vouchers issued. It is important that all vouchers are read carefully for additional supplier information.
 
PRICING
 
We offer you the flexibility to create your own holiday from the range of accommodation, airlines and other services available. Because of this wide choice, it is not possible to list every price on every date. A ‘from’ price is indicative of the lowest price available for the hotel or itinerary featured but this may vary depending on a number of factors such as your date of travel, number of people sharing a room, choice of accommodation and airline availability.
 
The rates at some hotels may vary depending on your residency and therefore it is important that you confirm the residency and nationality of everyone travelling at the time of quotation.
 
All prices are subject to availability and final confirmation from the supplier. Certain airlines permit us as their agent to hold reservations for a certain amount of time without tickets being issued. It is important to note that in these instances, the fares are only guaranteed until 2359 that day and we are not liable in the event of an increase. We, therefore, recommend that tickets are issued on the same day as the reservation. Some airports charge a departure tax, which is payable locally. These charges may not be claimed back from us.

AMENDMENTS & CANCELLATIONS
 
All flight timings are provisional and subject to change. However you will be advised in advance of any major change as per your supplier's booking conditions. Only in extreme cases will an airline offer a full refund or date change should you not accept the change. On occasions your supplier may find it necessary to alter your any aspect of your holiday. Their policy regarding alterations is set out in their booking conditions.
 
Should you find it necessary to cancel or amend your holiday, please contact us without delay. Cancellations and amendments require written confirmation by the lead name in the party. Prior to making any changes, please verify any charges bearing in mind that these generally increase the closer you get to departure. In most cases, late cancellation will result in 100% charges.
 
TRAVEL INSURANCE
 
We strongly recommend Travel Insurance as protection against financial costs or losses in connection with medical treatment and travel inconvenience i.e. cancellation or curtailment and delay, damage or loss of baggage/personal effects.
 
GOVERNING LAW
 
Any matters that arise between you and us are governed by the laws applicable in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is also conditional on your agreement that any dispute that arises between you and us will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Dubai, except that we also we retain the right to bring proceedings against you for breach of these terms and conditions in your country of residence or any other relevant country.

 

Cancellation Policy

You or any member of your party may cancel your travel arrangements at any time. Written notification from the lead passenger must be sent by email to holidays@al-majid.com. For urgent cancellations, please ALSO telephone 04 2222007 or 2212213.
 
In the event of cancellation, there will be supplier charges that you will have to pay ranging from 10% to 100%, and these will be explained to you prior to booking. We encourage you to take out travel insurance, which may cover some or all of the charges depending on the nature of the cancellation.
 
Should you fail to cancel your booking in advance you may also incur a no-show fee in addition to any other supplier imposed charges.
 
Prior to confirming your booking, please ensure that you are aware of all cancellation charges.
